Care for the Needy Board Led Organization
Cultivating Hope, Building Resilience; Transforming Community.
Who We Are
Care for the Needy (CfN) is a local humanitarian organization established in Tigray, Northern Ethiopia, to respond to humanitarian needs and promote the well-being, dignity, and resilience of vulnerable and marginalized communities. Beginning in 2022 as a volunteer initiative led by five humanitarian professionals supporting internally displaced people (IDPs), CfN reached a significant milestone on 19 March 2024 by securing its first funded project. We focus on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), gender equality, protection, youth empowerment, diversity and inclusion, and community resilience.
